Animal – Portrait
In commission I make sculptures, façade stones, reliefs and medals for example for a commemoration, award or donation.
Black-tailed godwit

The godwit was elected national bird in Holland in 2015. Bird protection in the Netherlands, and the Dutch public have opted for this. This is not the reason I was instructed to make a godwit. This beautiful bird (fortunately still regularly seen by the clients) has become an important part of their garden. The sculpture is produced in a edition of 8 pieces and can be placed on wooden or stone plinth as desired.
Pelican

Pelican , bronze, 40x18x41cm
The sculpture is made in an edition of 8 and still for sale
On behalf of Sanquin Zaandam, the Netherlands. I made a sculpture of a pelican. The image mark of Sanquin is a pelican with a drop of blood in the chest. The image refers to the legend of the Pelican. The pelican has been the symbol of altruism and mercy since the Middle Ages. According to legend, the pelican picked her chest open to feed her starving baby with her own blood.
